Sol, Sen and Sunrise restaurants

Sol by the beach does the breakfast buffet from 7:00 to 9:30 am and international dishes; Sen, opposite the lobby, serves Asian and European plates and is the one guests praise, especially its clay-pot rice. Room service is listed as 24 hours.

Good to know dinner at Sen overlooking the lotus pond is the resort’s best meal. Watch for a breakfast buffet that some long-stay guests find repetitive.

Getting the most from Sonata’s facilities

01

Swim early

The sea is usually calmest in the morning, and the pool is quietest before 9 am. Sunrise is around 5:30–6 am depending on the season.

02

Book Sen Spa a day ahead

Treatment slots fill up on weekends and holidays. Ask at reception on arrival and book the time you want.

03

Eat out once or twice

For a change from the resort restaurants, use the free shuttle to NovaWorld or Phan Thiet, where there is far more choice.

Honest note

Hours and prices for the spa, gym and kids club are not published online, the gym is small, and the sea can be too rough to swim on some days. Plan around the pool rather than the sea if waves matter to you.

Questions about Sonata’s pool, beach and dining

Does Sonata have a sauna or steam room?

Yes. Sen Spa has both a sauna and a steam room, alongside massage rooms. Access and prices are not published online; some resorts include them with a treatment and some charge separately, so ask reception when you book your first session.

Is there a lifeguard on Sonata’s beach?

Listings for Sonata mention lifeguards on duty at the beach. Even so, the coast at Tien Thanh is open sea, and swimming is sometimes restricted when the waves are strong. Follow the flags, ask the beach staff before going in, and keep children close.

Can I have breakfast in my room at Sonata?

In-room breakfast is listed among the resort’s services, and room service runs 24 hours. Whether it is included in your rate or charged as a supplement depends on the booking, so ask reception the evening before; it is on request.

Can guests fish in the lake at Sonata?

Yes. The resort has a fishing lake on its east side, listed as one of its activities. Ask at reception about borrowing equipment and any charge before you head over; it is a quiet option for an afternoon with older children.

Can I borrow a bicycle at Sonata?

Yes, bicycles are free to borrow from the lobby and are the easiest way to get around more than 3 hectares of grounds. They are meant for use inside the resort; the coast road outside has fast traffic and no cycle lane.

Does Sonata have karaoke and billiards?

Yes. Private karaoke rooms take groups of 20–30 and are charged, and there are two billiard tables near the sports area, which one agency lists as free for guests. Both are popular with company groups, so book karaoke early at weekends.

Spend the day at the pool, the evening at Sen

If a big pool, a beach and a relaxed restaurant are what you want from a resort day, Sonata delivers on all three.
